CJC Religious School: Integrated Family Educational Approach

Every year the CJC Religious School grows and changes to meet the need of our families and our community. Our foundation remains the same - the family education model, in which parents come to class to learn with their children; the study of Torah, of Jewish life, and of Hebrew; the incorporation of Mitzvot into our lives; and the deepening of the chevra (community) of our children and families.

Believing that the education our children involved the whole family, we expect parents to attend classes with their children. Classes are fun and thought-provoking, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Meet our Religious School Director, Marla Kolman:
Marla, in addition to directing the CJC Religious School and our Mitzvah Projects, is Co-founder and Executive Director of Partners in Peace. She holds a B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University and an M.S.W. with a focus in Community Organizing from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. After receiving her masters she spent a year living and working in Israel on a volunteer human service program called Project OTZMA, and she considers Israel her second home. She has worked nationally and internationally with youth of all ages and has developed curriculum for faith-based teen programs. Marla was recently awarded the New Generations Leadership Award.
