• Ruach Havurah Gatherings
  4th Saturday of the month

The Ruach Havurah at CJC is for people who would like to learn, explore and celebrate the spiritual aspects of their Judaism. Ruach Havurah gatherings may include prayer, meditation, spiritual direction, rituals, celebration and learning.

Our gatherings are experiential in nature, and our goals are to deepen our spirituality, learn more about Jewish spirituality, and to cultivate a deeper sense of connection to each other. Havurah gatherings may include prayer, meditation, spiritual direction, rituals, celebration and learning.

We are a peer-led group open to any interested adults.

• Va'ad Meeting - Advisory Council

Time/Location to be announced.

As always, everyone is invited. We will use this time to vision the coming year and plan specific strategies for strengthening our chevra.

The va’ad has done excellent work this year, in shaping and guiding the board’s decision making and in developing new leadership. In 2005-06 the va’ad has:

• reviewed the community survey and assessed the chevra’s strengths and challenges
• streamlined board job descriptions and encouraged co-chair or committee roles to meet the chevra’s infrastructure needs
• developed program and service models and marketing and communication strategies to build and strengthen the chevra over the coming few years
• begun to address our longer-term financial strategies
• begun to grapple with the geography of CJC (Half Moon Bay and vicinity, north of Devil’s Slide, over the hill, over the bridge).
